About Barker’s Carpet Cleaning

Barker's Carpet Cleaning was started by Rowan Barker in 2010. Rowan noticed a hole in the market on the North West Coast. He completed a carpet cleaning course, purchased equipment & started cleaning carpets for friends & family in his spare time while working a separate full time job. It quickly got to the point where he was receiving more & more requests from people to clean their carpets, so he cut back his hours at his full time job to clean more carpets during the week. A year or so later Rowan had left his fulltime job purchased bigger & better equipment & set out on his carpet cleaning career.

Barker's carpet cleaning now has 2 full time carpet cleaners (including Rowan) & a fulltime receptionist. We have gone from a small portable carpet cleaning machine in the back of a sedan to 2 vans with truck mount steam cleaners installed & 2 large portable machines for hard to reach jobs. We also have a large storage shed full of Australian made cleaning products, lots of tools & equipment plus spare parts to make sure our machines are operating at full capacity at all times.

One of Rowan's first jobs was selling menswear at Cameron Stewarts, which was a mens wear store know for it's good quality clothing in Tasmania plus for their exceptional customer service. Rowan was trained by Hamish Muir & Cameron Stewart on the importance of high customer service which Rowan has adapted into his own business. We do all the little things that make the customer experience as enjoyable as possible.
